Over a thousand flock to Phoenix greens for a Summer of Fun

Thank you to the 1,451 people who joined us for Summer Fun! Every Thursday in August, we set up camp on a green space in the Phoenix area to provide Phoenix families and local residents a day of free, family fun. Event goers enjoyed a total wipeout swing, bungee trampolining, puppet and magic shows, balloon modelling, face painting, reptile zoo and art and crafts zones. 

Phoenix resident and Chair of the Board, Carmen Simpson, said: “Keeping children occupied during the long summer holidays can be tricky, especially now with the cost of living so high. It’s so important for local families to have somewhere to go and something to enjoy cost-free. Summer Fun is such a great event that’s enjoyed year on year by residents like me. It’s a good way to bring the community together and have some well-needed fun!”
