£12,500 of new funding is up for grabs for local community projects that benefit people in south Lewisham as part of Lewisham Borough of Culture 2022.
Projects that benefit residents of Downham, Bellingham and Whitefoot can now apply for a share of our Borough of Culture Community Chest fund.

If you have an idea for a project to be part of the Borough of Culture that benefits the Phoenix community then this could help make it a reality.
Lewisham is London’s Borough of Culture for 2022 and has won more than £1m of funding to stage a programme of cultural events and initiatives.

Chief Executive Jim Ripley said: “We’re thrilled to be supporting Lewisham as the Borough of Culture 2022. This Community Chest funding will help bring more cultural events and activities to our corner of south Lewisham as part of Lewisham Borough of Culture.

“The Community Chest has helped so many local people whether that’s through helping them get back into work, reducing their energy bills, fun holiday activities for local kids and even recovery therapies for over 55s. I can’t wait to see who our panel chooses as the winners!”
