Join us this March for a series of Career Insight events to support young people in aiming for the career of their dreams. Are you aged 13-25 and... 

  • going to 6th form/college or university? 
  • choosing your options for GCSE, A Level, 
  • BTEC or university degree? 
  • looking to take up an apprenticeship? 

We’ll be hosting three sessions covering different sectors with 10 industry experts who give you an insight into the world of their work. 

The Entertainment, film and TV Sector | Thursday 16 March, 6.30-8pm 

Aubrey Fagon 

Over his 30-year career, Aubrey has seen first-hand the change across film, video and digital industries. After graduating with BA degree in Film, Photo and Video he then trained as a camera technician before spending 5 years operating cameras for MTV Europe at live events and studios. Aubrey went on to work across the globe for various Non-Government Organisations such as CARE International, International Rescue Committee , Oxfam, Save the Children and Tear Fund. Aubrey now lives and work in the Southeast of England as a freelance cameraman and photographer across the commercial and community sectors. 

Kenny Barnwell  

Kenny Barnwell started his event production career at 18 years old in Atlanta, in the USA as a Stagehand. Since then, he's travelled the world working on tour with artists such as Travis Tritt, Trace Adkins, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Chris Isaak, Sara Bareilles, Seal, Bon Jovi, Jonas Brothers, and more. 

He is the co-founder of Freedom Music Events, a concert production company, the author of two music career development books, and the creator of CREW COACH the only career coaching program designed for Touring Crew. Kenny now speaks to inspire others to ignite their passions, develop their skills, and build their dream careers. 

Nicole Geddies 

Nicole is a professionally trained performer who has travelled the world performing on both stage and screen. As well as entertaining in touring circuses and at sea in cruise ship production shows. 17 years ago she pivoted her career intro producing.  

Throughout her showbiz career she developed contacts, skills and knowledge that equipped her to be known as the ‘go-to event entertainment expert’ on the South Coast of England. Manic Stage Productions has since become well known further afield on both land and at sea.

Health, Wellbeing and Community Sector | Thursday 23 March, 6.30-8pm 

Merrisha Gordon 

Merrisha Gordon is an accredited Leadership Coach, Organisational Consultant and Trainer working with current and aspiring leaders to show up and lead with confidence, authenticity and impact. With over twenty years' experience as a Senior Lead in the public sector including the NHS, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Costa Coffee International and London Borough of Barking and Dagenham 

With over ten years' experience as a Coach, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to help individuals and organisations overcome the challenge of developing and being recruited, retained as an excellent, happy and more motivated member of staff. Merrisha’s style is described by clients as ‘enlightening, empathic, introspective, professional and authentic'.   

Kimberly Godsey 

Kimberly Godsey is an Advanced Practice Nurse specialising in cardiology. She has over 20 years of experience in healthcare, starting with serving in the United States Army National Guard as a flight medic. She graduated with honours from the University of Cincinnati with a Masters Degree in Nursing. In 2013, she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau for outstanding academic achievement. Her broad range of experience includes critical care, cardiothoracic surgery, heart failure, palliative/ hospice care and clinical research. She works closely with patients to improve their health through the mind-body connection and lifestyle modifications. She is especially passionate about improving health care for individuals who are socioeconomically disadvantaged.

Frank Fallon 

Frank is a Senior Service Manager of a London based charity with 15 years experience delivering health, livelihoods and youth programmes across the charity sector. he is not university educated, instead he chose to build his knowledge and experience through participating in international voluntary programmes and travelling worldwide.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) | Thursday 30 March, 6.30-8pm 

Hayley Forester 

Following her degree in Chemistry, Hayley built up extensive experience in the Home and Personal Care sectors for over 18 years, and now works as an Independent Fragrance Design Consultant with Pretty Little Aroma.    

Working within the two biggest consumer goods companies in the world – Procter and Gamble and Unilever, as well as partnering with the biggest and best fragrance companies and perfumers in the world has given her a very wide range of experience in the industry. She has developed multiple fragrances with billion dollar brands including Tide, Ariel, Fairy, Pantene, Axe, Links, Dove and Rexona, to name a few. 

Mike Coles 

Mike is a professional, qualified coach with hundreds of hours of experience supporting clients to make positive changes to their working lives. He’s helped clients with productivity, strategy, inter-personnel skills, motivation mindset, career and business development. He’s passionate about finding what makes us special, and leaning into the brilliance this brings. 

Before training as a coach, he completed a degree in Engineering and spent 16 years working for large complex multinational companies (EY, Rolls-Royce, Experian), in their audit and finance departments.   

Roberta Weber 

Being born into difference (she was born with a hand anomaly) and adversity (experiencing traumatic upheaval throughout the formative years) meant Roberta was gifted with the need to look at the world differently from others. A deep drive to be a change-agent in her family, led Roberta to seek healing that was deep and powerful despite being outside her comfort zone.  

At the start of her career, Roberta's training and work as a Developmental Molecular Biologist meant she could work abroad with incredible people. She also explored healing modalities including acupuncture, family-constellation therapy, shamanic healing, and BodyIntuitive.  

Now Roberta works to enhance the capacity of people to be the particular change-agent they are meant to be and not follow the destructive patterns they may have inherited from family, friends or society. Roberta's work in her lifetime is to provide a way for people to step into their Change-Agent Leadership Potential allowing a life filled with purpose, meaning and joy. 

Mohammed Kasujee  

Mohammed is a Career Coach who helps his clients find careers that they love. After Graduating with a Chemistry degree from MMU in 2017, Mohammed enjoyed a lucrative career in medical device sales before making the transition into full-time entrepreneurship. Alongside his business, Mohammed is a Non-Executive Director for a non-for-profit and Business Mentor for start-ups.
