We want to fix the housing crisis for good

We’re proud to be doing our bit to tackle the housing crisis in Lewisham and London, but we can’t do it alone.

That’s why we’re supporting the National Housing Federation – the representative for housing associations in the UK – and its call for politicians of all parties to work alongside us to tackle the housing crisis.

Thousands of people are on social housing waiting lists in Lewisham alone, with hundreds of thousands of individuals and families across the country waiting for years for a secure, stable home.

We’re committed to building new homes for affordable rents in our community, including our award-winning extra care scheme at Hazelhurst Court, 22 new homes at Nuthatch House on Whitefoot Lane, four new homes on Woodbank Road, and our first shared ownership development at Springbank Court. Many more schemes are now in the planning pipeline.

The short video below explains why, with 100 years of social housing in Bellingham and Downham, we believe social housing is so important and why we need politicians to help us build more of it.
