Sustainability and Net Zero Carbon

We're working to reduce our carbon footprint and are working on our Sustainability Strategy, which sets out how we will reach our target to become carbon neutral by 2050.

As well as highlighting how Phoenix can create greener and healthier homes for our residents by ensuring our homes are well insulated, have energy-efficient appliances and improve the energy bands within our homes. It also highlights how we as an organisation will reduce our carbon footprint.

Over the next few years, we will aim to understand how sustainability can help our residents in the future. We will work with other organisations to share best practices and knowledge.

We are already taking a step in the right direction by developing our first Passivhaus at Melfield Gardens. As some of our most sustainable homes in Lewisham, the development will address climate change and fuel poverty.

We all have a part to play to help us reach our targets, and it starts by doing simple things like learning how to save on your energy to learning more about how you can be sustainable at home.
