Phoenix Board Chair, Vice Chair and staff at the AGM 2019

Phoenix shareholders, use your voice at our Annual General Meeting

Updated: 19 August 2020 at 15:59pm

All Phoenix resident shareholders are warmly invited and encouraged to take part in this year's Annual General Meeting (AGM).

As a resident-led housing association, our AGM is a significant date in the Phoenix Community Housing calendar and an opportunity for resident shareholders to hear about Phoenix's performance in 2019-20, future plans and to put questions to senior managers. Shareholders also vote on resolutions at the AGM as part of the formal business of the evening.

The AGM will take place on Tuesday 15 September 2020 from 6-7.30pm, the agenda and AGM pack are available online. We are following Government and Public Health England advice to ensure the safety of our residents and staff and have made changes to the format of the event to ensure social distancing and other measures are followed.

We'll be running a prize draw to encourage our resident shareholders to attend the AGM and to cast their votes by proxy. Every resident shareholder* who attends will be entered into a prize draw to win gift vouchers worth up to £250, with £500 worth of prizes up for grabs!

The business to be conducted at the AGM will include:

  • The minutes of the previous AGM.
  • To receive the Annual Report.
  • To receive the result of the selection/election for the one Tenant Board Member position.
  • To receive the Financial Statements and Report of the Auditors for the year ended 31 March 2020.
  • The reappointment of KPMG as external auditors.

Resident shareholders can take part by casting their votes by proxy or attending online. A small number of places will be available for shareholders to attend in person at The Green Man.

Full details of how to take part and how to book your place are available on our event page.

The prize draw will be held at the end of the AGM and Phoenix shareholders who return their votes by proxy, attend online or in person will be entered. Resident Board Members and relatives of Phoenix staff are excluded from the prize draw.
