'Our future in our hands': annual report 2018-19 now available

Updated: 2 September 2019 at 10:15am

Our residents’ annual report for 2018-19 is now available online, at The Green Man, and by request.

The theme of this year’s report is ‘Our future in our hands’ recognising that Phoenix has come-of-age as a resident-led housing association.

2018-19 was the year our first development, our extra care scheme at Hazelhurst Court, won three awards while works began on other developments. It was also the year that we wrapped up the Fellowship project.

The report, produced by our Resident Communications Group, looks at how Phoenix performed in the last financial year, including where we did well and where we know we need to improve.

Some highlights include:

  • Our team supported residents to gain £601,000 in additional income and benefits
  • Leaseholder satisfaction with Phoenix improved (55%), while tenant satisfaction was among the top for similar organisations at 82%
  • 849 young people were involved in projects and events
  • 100% of our blocks had a valid fire risk assessment – a figure we’ve maintained
  • And we achieved a £62,500 reduction in current rent arrears.

The annual report will be confirmed by our resident shareholders at our annual general meeting on Monday 16 September at 6pm at The Fellowship and Star.
