Phoenix Community Housing’s “school of social housing” is opening its digital classroom on Tuesday 10 November.

Normally run from The Green Man, Phoenix’s community hub in south London, the courses will run online this year because of the coronavirus pandemic and guidelines on social distancing.

The Academy will be offering Chartered Institute of Housing Levels 2 and 3 qualifications and is open to anyone in the community. Lessons will take place every Tuesday and the course will be completed in January.

The Level 2 course from the Phoenix Academy is a good next step for those looking to find out more or take the next step to a career in housing.

Taught online via video call, you will gain a more in-depth understanding of housing associations and their work alongside Phoenix residents and staff, with support from a professional tutor.

This course focuses on the following topics:

  • Housing provision and housing organisations
  • Customer care in the housing context
  • Careers and opportunities in housing
  • Developing skills for working in housing

On completion of the course, you will receive a certificate from the Chartered Institue of Housing.

We now offer Level 3 qualifications for those looking to begin or further their career in housing. Contact us to find out more.

If you would like to enrol, get in contact. You can find out more about the Phoenix Academy here on our website.
