Creative arts and heritage at The Fellowship Inn

Updated: 15 January 2016 at 10:19am

In November 2014, Phoenix was awarded a multimillion pound grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to restore The Fellowship Inn in Bellingham.

The project will secure the future of the community pub and deliver new amenities and facilities for the community, while creating more than 70 jobs and many more training and volunteering opportunities. The restoration project will also include a range of arts and heritage projects and activities available for all the community to get involved with.

We want these arts and heritage projects to help tell the building's rich story, to engage local people in the restoration of the pub and to support people to develop new creative interests and skills. They will include:

  • an oral history and digital project
  • heritage wall & tapestry project
  • performance project.

Following our public consultation on plans for The Fellowship Inn in 2015, we are now looking to find partners to deliver these creative community heritage and development projects and are inviting applications from interested organisations and individuals. We welcome partnership proposals and encourage cross art form partnerships.

To find out more about the opportunities, please see the individual project briefs and expression of interest forms below.
