Build a career in construction and sign up to a traineeship with Building Lives.

Applications are still open for the current Building Lives course, which began in late February and the next course which will start in May. Both offer free, six months traineeships in painting and decorating and dry-lining.

The programmes, which are open to young people aged 16-24, are fast tracked and designed to help get the skills and experiences you need to get into work in the construction sector.

Both courses include full training towards a Level 2 Diploma and up to 100 hours of work experience in the sector, plus:

  • full PPE (personal protection equipment)
  • CSCS training and card (construction skills certification scheme – required to work on most major construction sites)
  • one-to-one support and mentoring
  • training in functional skills (maths and English)
  • budget and finance workshops
  • the opportunity to progress onto a paid apprenticeship and completion of a level 2 diploma.

To find out more about the programme and to register your interest, visit the Building Lives website or call 020 8695 6119.
