The 3000th member of our Phoenix rewards scheme was presented with a prize as membership reaches almost 50% of households.
Mr Phillip Duck received holiday vouchers and bottle of champagne as a thank you from Phoenix for signing up to the Gold Club at a special event attended by staff and residents.
Mr Duck said: “I only came in to report a repair and then I was told about the scheme. It sounded great so I signed up. I was really pleased to receive the prize and I’m looking forward to using my holiday vouchers.”
“Since joining Gold Club I’ve also found out more about Phoenix and I’m now going to start going to digital training and the weekly bingo sessions.”
Our Gold Club is open to all tenants and leaseholders. Members who pay their rent or service charges on time collect reward points. Extra points can be gained for everything from keeping to appointments to making payments by direct debit. Points are then converted into vouchers for residents at the end of each year.
Gold Club members also become shareholders in Phoenix. This gives them the right to run for election to the Board, vote for Board members, and vote at the AGM. Tenants and leaseholders elected by residents are the largest group on the management board and take a central role in decision making.
Chief Executive Jim Ripley said: “The Gold Club is a fantastic way to thank residents for helping us. It’s been great to meet Phillip and hear how else he is getting involved with Phoenix. I’m hoping he will send us a postcard from his holiday!”
“3000 members is an important moment for us as it means almost 50% of our households are now shareholders. As a resident-led housing association this is a huge milestone on our journey to getting residents involved with the work we do.”
There are many ways to get involved at Phoenix, from being a member of our Board to joining one of our resident panels who focus on everything from communications to policy. Click here to find out more, or contact us.
