It’s time to prune back that hedge, fluff up your flowers and cut the grass. Our annual Phoenix in Bloom competition is back for its 9th year!
There are prizes to be won whether you’re an expert grower, guerrilla gardener or just finding your green fingers. Your garden doesn’t have to be Chelsea Flower Show worthy, as long as it brings a bit of colour and greenery to our small corner of south east London.
In fact, it doesn’t have to be a garden at all! You can enter a balcony, window box, allotment, hanging basket or garden.
We’re also looking for the young gardener of the year. Those under 16 qualify if they have helped do part or all of a garden or even a small pot or display. It's just about taking part and encouraging getting outdoors at an early age.
Phoenix in Bloom is happening slightly differently this year in order to maintain social distancing and keep you safe. Entries and judging will be done online rather than in person. Entries will be judged by our expert panel of residents and a member from our Estates team.
This garden was one of last year’s winning entries. You can look back at last year’s winners here.
This year taking part is even easier. All you have to do is fill in this quick online entry form. Entries close at 9am Monday 24 August. To enter by post, fill in this application form and post it to us along with your photos.
If your garden is a work in progress, we’d still love you to take part. Register on the form for the most improved garden for 2020 and make sure you take some 'before' pictures!
Good luck everybody!
