Phoenix Community Housing tenants can now vote for the community projects they want to win a share of £130,000!
Since being set up in 2013, Phoenix's Community Chest has given out £900,000 to 100 projects, benefitting 26,000 people. Projects funded in previous years range from workshops in schools to tackle gang violence to holiday clubs for young people and healthy therapies for over 55s.
Phoenix tenants can decide which projects get a share of the money by voting for their five favourite projects.
Chair of the board and Phoenix resident Carmen Simpson said: “This year we're giving away an extra £30,000 and you decide who gets the money! These are all great projects so make sure you have your say and choose who you want to see benefiting our community.”
Residents can vote online, in person at The Green Man or The Phoenix Festival, by telephone (0800 0285 700), or by returning a form they will receive in the post.
